Water exists naturally all over the Earth in different forms and locations. It due to the water cycle that they appear in different places (in the air, on the land surface, underground, and oceans) and in a different form.  

Water in the atmosphere - Water can be stored in the atmosphere which eventually becomes clouds when evaporated. The process of which is called evaporation.

Water on the land surface – Water can be found in the land surface as a result of condensation. In this process, water from the atmosphere condenses in the form of rain and can be stored in lakes, streams, and ponds.  

Water below the ground – When the water in the atmosphere fall down in the form of rain, some of it was absorbed by the soil and stored underground. This then becomes our source of tap water which could be drinkable.

Water in the oceans – The Earth's composure is approximately ¼ land and ¾ water, and that body of water is the ocean. It is salty water.
